Kimberly Jones

Kimberly Jones, JD, CAE has held various positions within the Council for Opportunity in Education, starting as a Legal Clinic Law Clerk at Bread for the City. Kimberly then moved on to roles such as Communications Associate at Cooley LLP. Kimberly has also served as Vice President for Public Policy and Communications, Associate Vice President for Public Policy, and Director of Congressional Affairs within the COE, before assuming the role of President in October 2019. Their educational background includes a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.

Council for Opportunity in Education

The Council for Opportunity in Education is a nonprofit organization, established in 1981, dedicated to furthering the expansion of college opportunities for low-income, first-generation students and students with disabilities throughout the United States. Its membership includes more than 1,000 colleges and agencies. Through its numerous membership services, the Council works in conjunction with colleges, universities, and agencies that host TRIO programs to specifically help low-income students enter college and graduate. More than one million low-income and disabled students each year receive college access and retention services through our member colleges and agencies.
