Michelle Cottrell-Williams is an experienced educator currently serving as an Educational Specialist focused on Equity and Cultural Responsiveness at Fairfax County Public Schools since May 2021. Cottrell-Williams also contributes as a Professor at Reach University and as a Team Lead for Teachers Going Gradeless. Previously recognized as the 2018 Virginia Teacher of the Year, Cottrell-Williams has held various roles within the Arlington Public Schools, including Instructional Coach and Resource Teacher for the Gifted, as well as High School Social Studies Teacher. Cottrell-Williams possesses a comprehensive educational background with degrees from multiple institutions, including a Doctor of Philosophy in P-20 Education from Walden University, and has taught online at the University of Phoenix.
