María Agustina Cibrán

María Agustina Cibrán has extensive work experience in IT architecture and consulting. María Agustina is currently the Head of IT Architecture at the Council of Europe Development Bank. Prior to this, they worked at AXA en France as an Enterprise Data Architect, where they played a key role in defining data strategies and architectural roadmaps. María Agustina also contributed to AXA's transformation in data management and data governance. Before AXA, María worked at CGI en France as an IT Consulting Manager and Functional Architect, leading projects and delivering consulting services on various technologies. María Agustina also gained experience at Thales as a Senior BPM/SOA Consultant and SOA Architect for European Commission/Eurocontrol. Additionally, they worked as a Research Engineer at Vrije Universiteit Brussel and as a Junior Consultant at IBM Argentina. María began their career as a Researcher at LIFIA - Laboratorio de Investigación y Formación en Informática Avanzada in Argentina.

María Agustina Cibrán holds a Licenciatura degree in Computer Science from Universidad Nacional de La Plata, which they obtained from 1995 to 2001. María Agustina then pursued an MSc. in Object-Oriented Software Engineering (EMOOSE) from Ecole des Mines de Nantes from 2001 to 2002. Later, they completed their PhD. in Computer Science, specializing in Aspect-Oriented Software Development, Model-Driven Engineering, and Business Rules, from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Additionally, María has obtained certifications in Data Management Fundamentals from DAMA France in 2019, and TOGAF 9 Certified from The Open Group in 2017.
