Stefano Michelangeli

Stefano Michelangeli has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Stefano is currently serving as the Head of Finance and Risk Management Systems at the Council of Europe Development Bank. Prior to this, they worked at Sopra Banking Software as a Project Director from 2018 to 2021. Stefano also held the position of Senior Manager in Corporate Treasury, Capital Markets, and Asset Management at Axis Alternatives from 2013 to 2018. Stefano gained expertise in Capital Market Systems as a Senior Engagement Manager at SkySparc AB from 2011 to 2013. Stefano previously worked at Axis Alternatives as a Senior Manager in Capital Markets from 2007 to 2011. Stefano also has experience in Corporate Treasury Management as a Senior Manager at PwC from 2001 to 2006. Prior to that, Stefano served as a Project Manager for Corporate Treasury Systems at Wall Street Systems (Ex-Trema) from 1998 to 2001. Stefano started their career as a Business Analyst at Accenture from 1997 to 1998.

Stefano Michelangeli obtained a Laurea/Master of Science in Economics and Finance with a specialization in Financial Mathematics from Sapienza Università di Roma, which they completed from 1990 to 1996. Stefano then pursued further education in treasury, becoming an Associate Member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers from 2003 to 2006. In 2002 to 2003, they also completed the Certificate ICM - Association of Corporate Treasurers in the UK with a focus on cash management. Additionally, Stefano holds additional certifications including Associate Membership of the Association of Corporate Treasurers in the UK and a Certificate in International Cash-Management, all obtained from the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
