Vassilis Petrides

Vassilis Petrides has extensive work experience in various organizations. Vassilis started their career as the Country Director at D.G. Jones & Partners in 1988. Vassilis then worked as the Head of Country Programme for Relief and Rehabilitation at Deutsche Welthungerhilfe e.V from 1994 to 1995. Following that, they joined the European Commission and held multiple roles such as the Head of Local Government & Infrastructure Programme from 1995 to 2001, the Head of MENA Environmental programme from 2001 to 2002, and the Head of Local Government Programme from 2002 to 2005. From 2006 to 2008, Petrides worked as a Programme Manager at the European Agency for Reconstruction, and as a Senior Advisor at the Management Organisation Unit of Development Programmes S.A in 2006. In 2009, they served as the Director of Business Development at HCL Consultants. Lastly, since 2012, Petrides has been working at the Council of Europe Development Bank, initially as the Programme Manager for the Regional Housing Programme and currently as the Head of the Ankara Project Office.

Vassilis Petrides completed their BSc. in Civil Engineering from Nottingham University between 1981 and 1985. Subsequently, they pursued an MSc in Project Management from Heriot-Watt University in the year 1985-1986.
