David Brailow

Vice President For Development at Council of Independent Colleges

David Brailow has a diverse range of work experience. David began their career as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Wake Forest University in 1979 and held this position until 1982. David then moved on to become a Professor of English at McKendree University from 1982 to 2001. Following that, they worked as the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Franklin College from 2001 to 2016. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President for Development at the Council of Independent Colleges, starting in 2016.

David Brailow earned their Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from Amherst College from 1968 to 1972. David then pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in English Language and Literature/Letters from the University of Oregon, studying from 1974 to 1979.
