Paul Alexandru Istoan

Paul Alexandru Istoan is an experienced Information Technology professional currently serving as an Information Technology Portfolio Manager at the Council of the European Union since June 2022. Previously, Paul served as an IT Product Owner and a Business and Functional Analyst at the European Commission from May 2017 to June 2022 and June 2013 to May 2017, respectively. Early career experiences include roles as an R&D Software Engineer at CRP - Gabriel Lippmann, a PhD student specializing in Software Engineering at the University of Luxembourg and IRISA Rennes, and a Software Engineering intern at IRISA Rennes. Paul began a career in software development at Globintech Ltd, contributing to internal monitoring systems. Paul holds a Ph.D. in Model Driven Engineering and Business Process Modelling from Université de Rennes 1 and Université du Luxembourg, a Master of Science from Université de Rennes I, and a Bachelor of Science from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca.
