Shauna Doherty

Shauna Doherty has over two decades of experience in translation and language services within notable European institutions. Currently serving as the Head of the English-language Unit at the Council of the European Union since June 2000, Doherty has also held the position of Quality Coordinator and worked as a translator in this unit. Prior experience includes a role as a translator at the European Economic and Social Committee from May 1997 to May 2000, and as a freelance interpreter for the European Commission from July 1995 to June 1998. Shauna Doherty holds a degree in Interpreting and Translation from Heriot-Watt University and completed secondary education at St Mary’s Grammar in Magherafelt.
