Vuyokazi Matsam

Vuyokazi Matsam has worked for the Council on Higher Education as the Director of Corporate Services from April 2011 to present and as the HR Director from July 2010 to March 2011. Before that, Matsam worked for Transnet Rail Engineering as the General Manager of Human Capital from April 2003 to February 2010.

Vuyokazi Matsam's education history begins in 1979 when they attended Ndamase High School and obtained their matriculation certificate in 1980. Vuyokazi then went on to Nelson Mandela University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business Management, Economics, HR & Auditing from 1991 to 1994. Continuing their education, they joined Stellenbosch University in 2003 for a Strategic Human Resources Programme. Matsam later attended Nelson Mandela University again, where they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Organizational Leadership from 2006 to 2010. Returning to the University of the Witwatersrand, they pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General in 2012. Finally, in 2013, Matsam engaged in an Executive Development Management program at the University of the Witwatersrand, focusing on Organizational Leadership.
