Rose Birkhead

Rose Birkhead (Kenefic) has extensive experience in education, primarily in literacy and reading instruction. Currently serving as the English Language Arts Coordinator and Reading Specialist for the Council Rock School District since August 2013, Rose has worked with 7th and 8th grade students to enhance their literacy skills. Prior to this role, Rose was a Basic Skills Teacher/Reading Specialist at the Pennsauken School District from September 2009 to July 2013, providing essential reading support to students. Early career experiences include serving as a Special Education Teacher at Evergreen Elementary School in Woodbury Public Schools and a Middle School Teacher in the Central Bucks School District, where instruction focused on math and reading for PSSA preparation. Rose holds a Master’s degree in Reading from Gwynedd Mercy University and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education from Saint Joseph's University.
