Julianne Thompson

Julianne Thompson, M.A., ATR-BC, LCAT, is a skilled counselor currently working at Counseling In Schools since March 2023. Previously, Julianne served as a bilingual therapist at the New York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center from September 2020 to July 2022 and held art therapy intern positions at MercyFirst and the Libertas Center for Human Rights in 2019. The experience includes a significant role as a migration counselor at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York, focusing on legal intakes for unaccompanied minors, and as a migration assistant at Grinnell College, where Julianne conducted ethnographic research. Educational qualifications include a master's degree in art therapy from New York University and a bachelor's degree in anthropology and Spanish from Grinnell College. Julianne also has a background in the arts as a director and educator with Neverland Junior Players.
