Alia Flanigan

Alia F. is an experienced professional specializing in international relations and gender issues, currently serving as a New Business Development Associate at Counterpart International since June 2024. Previously, Alia was a Peace Corps Volunteer, focusing on English language education for Khmer students and enhancing the skills of local teachers while addressing gender awareness. Alia has held various roles, including Human Resources Assistant at the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, where the first Mentoring Programme was initiated, and staff data was analyzed for gender mainstreaming. Additional experience includes project coordination and research internships with organizations such as EMOTiC and Foreign Policy Interrupted, as well as teaching assistance with the Fulbright Program. Alia's academic background includes a Master of Arts in International Relations from Central European University and a Bachelor of Arts from Manhattan University, complemented by studies in France.
