Nick Markel, CCM, CCE is an accomplished General Manager and Chief Operating Officer with extensive experience in the private club industry. Currently serving at the Country Club of Buffalo since April 2020, Markel oversees operations for one of upstate New York's premier clubs, which has a rich history dating back to 1889. Previous roles include General Manager/COO at Ansley Golf Club and Druid Hills Golf Club, where leadership was demonstrated in managing large memberships and diverse recreational offerings. Earlier experience also includes the role of Assistant General Manager at The Country Club in Cleveland and Assistant Manager at Cherokee Town and Country Club in Atlanta. Markel began career at the Country Club of Buffalo as a bartender. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Administration/Management from Buffalo State University.
