John Palkovitz has extensive work experience in finance and senior leadership roles. John is currently working as the Chief Financial Officer at Country Meadows Retirement Communities since January 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at Broadmead, Inc. from November 2014 until January 2021. From 2006 to 2014, they held the position of VP, Financial Services at Diakon, where they were responsible for various financial functions and administrative oversight of services. Before joining Diakon, John worked at KPMG as a Senior Manager, where they handled auditing, financial feasibility, and compliance procedures for a diverse range of clients. John also served as the President of HFMA, Appalachian Chapter from 2004 to 2005. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Senior Manager at Ernst & Young and Coopers & Lybrand.
John Palkovitz completed their high school education at Cumberland Valley High School from 1977 to 1981. Following this, they attended Drexel University from 1981 to 1986, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. In addition to their formal education, John holds certifications as a Certified Public Accountant through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a Chartered Global Management Accountant through AICPA.
