Kyle Yerdon has a diverse range of work experiences. In 2022, they worked as a Packaging Engineer at Country Pure Foods, where they analyzed packaging structures, implemented testing and design methodologies, and solved supply chain problems. From 2020 to the present, Kyle has been an Agricultural Commodity Grader (Poultry) at the USDA, responsible for inspecting and certifying weighing and measuring devices, negotiating food safety compliance, and coordinating exports. In 2011, they served as a Poultry and Egg Judge/Coordinator at the Florida State Fair, overseeing competitions and other committee responsibilities. From 2016 to 2022, Kyle worked at Dusobox Corporation as a Lead Packaging Design Engineer, managing projects, staying up-to-date on industry innovations, and improving packaging. Kyle also worked at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services as an Agriculture and Consumer Protection Specialist, gaining experience in inspecting weighing and measuring devices, negotiating food safety, and expanding packaging knowledge. Additionally, Kyle was a Research Assistant at the University of Florida, where they compiled reports and served as a Teaching Assistant. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Head Mower/Weedeater at Personal Lawn Care from 2007 to 2013.
Kyle Yerdon completed their education with a Master's degree in PACKAGING VALUE CHAIN from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2022 to 2025. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Agricultural & Biological Engineering from the University of Florida between 2013 and 2016. Kyle also holds an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Engineering from Hillsborough Community College, completed from 2010 to 2013. Additionally, Kyle has obtained various certifications in packaging and related fields from institutions such as The Packaging School and AICC, The Independent Packaging Association.
