Lou Ellen Cherry is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in multimedia and journalism. Currently serving as the Communications and Outreach Coordinator at the County of Cumberland since September 2020, Lou Ellen also holds the title of Multimedia Specialist. Prior to this role, Lou Ellen worked as a Photojournalist/Editor at WNCN from May 2018 to September 2020 and spent over two decades at ABC11 Eyewitness News - WTVD from March 1994 to May 2018 as a Photojournalist. Lou Ellen's career began at WTVR-TV, where responsibilities included serving as a Production Assistant and News Photographer from May 1990 to February 1994. Lou Ellen holds a Bachelor's degree in RTVMP from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, completed in 1990.
