Benjamin Rickelman is a seasoned professional in economic development, currently serving as the Deputy County Administrative Officer for the County of Lake since April 2023. Previously, Benjamin worked as the Economic Development Manager for the City of San Antonio from April 2019 to March 2023, where responsibilities included supporting targeted industries and special initiatives. Prior experience includes serving as an Economic Analyst for Montgomery County Government from 2017 to 2019 and as Research Manager for NoMa Business Improvement District from 2013 to 2017, focusing on tenant attraction and community development. Benjamin holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Edgewood College.

The County of Lake provides a variety of services to Lake County residents and visitors, including public protection, health and sanitation, public assistance, libraries, agricultural assistance, parks, recreational and cultural activities, elections, planning, behavioral health services, and infrastructure. Many of the the County's services are provided Countywide, while others are provided only to the residents of the unincorporated areas.
