County of Lake
Richard A Ford, MBA, currently serves as the County Assessor-Recorder for the County of Lake since December 2014, following a role as Assistant Auditor/Controller within the same county from May 2012 to December 2014. Ford has a diverse background in finance and accounting, holding positions such as Controller at Republic Services Inc and Financial Analysis II/Accountant II at Waste Management Inc. In the music industry, Ford was the Associate Director of Accounting and Accounting Manager at Universal Music Group. Earlier experience includes serving as a Staff Accountant in a joint venture and working as an Accounting Clerk at ZB Industries. Ford holds a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Operations Management from California State University, Northridge, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University-Dominguez Hills. Additionally, Ford contributed to youth development as Scoutmaster Troop 39, Lakeport, from 2011 to 2013.

The County of Lake provides a variety of services to Lake County residents and visitors, including public protection, health and sanitation, public assistance, libraries, agricultural assistance, parks, recreational and cultural activities, elections, planning, behavioral health services, and infrastructure. Many of the the County's services are provided Countywide, while others are provided only to the residents of the unincorporated areas.
