Michael Thaw has over 18 years of experience in fire and emergency services, currently serving as Acting Battalion Lieutenant and Firefighter/EMT with the County of Louisa since August 2010. In addition to this role, Michael Thaw has been a Firefighter with the Virginia Department of Forestry since October 2005, holding various responsibilities including FFT1, Sawer, Engine Operation, TFC3, Line Medic, and field Weather observation. Previous experience includes positions as a Service Technician with WILSON MECHANICAL HVAC-R and Maintenance Technician with Louisa County Public Schools, among others. Michael Thaw's education includes training from the Virginia Fire Officers Academy and vocational education in HVAC-R from Penn Foster Group, coupled with foundational education from Louisa County High School.
