Joseph Kinyon

Joseph Kinyon is a highly experienced GIS professional, currently serving as a Senior Systems Engineer - GIS for the County of Marin since February 2024. Kinyon has a long tenure as a GIS Specialist and Consultant with Kinyon GIS since April 2010, focusing on project management, education, and geographic information analysis. Previously, Kinyon held the role of GIS Manager at Sonoma Land Trust from September 2011 to February 2024, enhancing GIS systems to support land conservation efforts. Additional experience includes positions at the Pacific Coast Science & Learning Center, California Academy of Sciences, and Dominican University of California as an adjunct faculty member. Kinyon holds a Master’s degree in GIS from the University of Redlands and has completed various certifications in GIS software training and emergency response.
