Charissa Japlit

Charissa Hines Japlit has extensive experience in financial management and public administration, currently serving as the HHSA Assistant Chief Financial Officer with the County of San Diego since September 2005. Her previous roles within the County include Assistant Group Finance Director and Financial Policy & Planning Manager, contributing to various aspects of budget management and financial planning. Before joining the County, Charissa worked as the Development Administrator at Home of Guiding Hands and as an Administrative Assistant at Innovative Strategies, LLC. Additionally, an internship at the City of Chula Vista's Human Resources Department involved developing and analyzing customer satisfaction surveys. Charissa holds a Master of Public Administration from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies from UC San Diego.
