Destiny Preston

Destiny Preston, MURP, currently serves as the Assistant Deputy Director of Planning at the California Transportation Commission, focusing on climate resiliency in transportation policy. Preston is also a Community Action Board Member representing District 3 in San Diego County and an Advisory Board Member for the California State Coastal Conservancy's Explore the Coast grant program. Previous experience includes roles as a Climate Change Planner at Caltrans, a coastal planner with the California Coastal Commission, and an Economic Development Committee Chair for the City of Arcata. Academic credentials include a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from UCLA and studies at several prestigious institutions, including the University of Chicago and Sciences Po.
