Joshua Ramirez

Joshua Ramirez is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in public policy and budgeting, currently serving as the Financial Policy and Planning Manager for the County of San Diego since September 2015. In this leadership role, Joshua manages a team responsible for the County's $8B annual budget, providing strategic advice to County leadership and developing long-term financial strategies. Previous positions include Group Program Manager, where support was provided to the CFO and Finance Subcommittee, and Financial Policy & Planning Officer, leading initiatives such as the County's first enterprise-wide open data portal. Joshua's career began in political roles as a Campaign Manager and Regional Political Director, further enhancing capabilities in stakeholder engagement and policy influence.
