Nikki Watkins

Nikki Watkins is a seasoned mental health professional currently serving as a Behavioral Health Program Coordinator for the County of San Diego since November 2024. Previously, Nikki held the position of Mental Health Clinician at the San Diego County Sheriff's Department from September 2022 to October 2024 and Clinic Director at the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at VVSD in San Diego and Oceanside from July 2021 to September 2022. Nikki's extensive experience includes directorial roles at Maple Leaf Counseling Services and the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic focused on providing mental health services to post-9/11 veterans and their families. Additionally, Nikki has held academic positions as a Faculty Associate and Adjunct Professor at Bethel Seminary San Diego and Southern California Seminary. Educational qualifications include a PsyD in Clinical Psychology, a Master's degree in Religion/Religious Studies, and an MA in Counseling Psychology from Southern California Seminary, along with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from San Diego State University and an Associate of Arts from San Diego City College.
