Seema Shah

Seema Shah is a Professor at the University of California San Diego since 2007 and currently serves as the Medical Director of the Epidemiology & Immunization Services Branch and Interim Deputy Public Health Officer for the County of San Diego since February 2021. Prior to this role, Seema Shah worked at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego from September 2014 to February 2021, holding positions as Medical Director, Director of Quality Improvement for the Emergency Department, and Clinical Director for the Emergency Department. Seema Shah earned a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (2019-2021) and holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (1993-2000), along with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature and a Bachelor of Science in General Biology from the same institution.
