Wilma Wooten

Wilma Wooten, MD, MPH, has extensive experience in public health leadership, currently serving as the Public Health Officer and Director of Public Health Services for the County of San Diego since February 2007. Wooten has been a member of the Health Officers Association of California since October 2013, holding the position of Past President from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, Wooten has been active as a Board Member for the Public Health Accreditation Board since January 2012 and has been involved with the California Conference of Local Health Officers, serving as Past President from 2011 to 2013. Wooten's career in public health began with the County of San Diego in March 2001, serving the initial six years as the Deputy Public Health Officer.
