Vanessa M.

Vanessa M. has extensive experience in environmental management and public health, currently serving as Division Manager for Watershed Protection and Integrated Waste Management at the County of Santa Clara since July 2017. Vanessa has held multiple leadership roles, including Special Projects Manager in the COVID-19 Case Investigation and Contact Tracing Branch, where responsibilities included developing a Master Projects Tracking system and providing administrative support. Previous positions included Acting CEPA Communications Manager, Interim Sustainability Manager, and Interim Sustainability Director, contributing to sustainability initiatives and agency communication during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to this, Vanessa worked for the City of Menlo Park in various environmental and sustainability roles, starting as an Environmental Programs Assistant and progressing to Senior Sustainability Specialist. Vanessa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies and Biological Sciences from San José State University and has also attended De Anza College and the King Sejong Institute.
