Erik Nasarenko

Erik Nasarenko has extensive experience in both legal and public service roles. Currently serving as the District Attorney for the County of Ventura since 2008, Erik has also held the position of Senior Deputy District Attorney. In the realm of local government, Erik was a Ventura City Councilmember from December 2017 to January 2021, and previously served as Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the City of Ventura from 2013 to 2017. Erik's background in communications includes positions as Communications Director for both the Pasadena Unified School District and the Los Angeles Unified School District, as well as serving as a deputy to the Los Angeles School Board President. Additionally, Erik worked as a Legislative Aide for Congressman Anthony Beilenson in the U.S. House of Representatives. Educationally, Erik holds a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Arts in American History from UC Irvine.
