Jiung Lee

Jiung Lee is an accomplished data scientist with extensive experience in developing algorithms and systems for optimizing operations in various sectors. Currently a Staff Data Scientist at Coupang since January 2023, Jiung Lee has focused on enhancing fulfillment center operations and food delivery assignments through optimization algorithms and machine learning models. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Machine Learning Researcher at Samsung Electronics, where Jiung developed deep learning models for semiconductor manufacturing processes. A brief tenure as a Research Intern at JD.COM involved creating automated inventory control policies. Academically, Jiung holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley, along with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
