Michel Babeau

Michel Babeau currently serves as a financial magistrate and conseiller maître at the Cour des comptes since November 2021. Prior to this, Michel held several significant positions, including sous-directeur administration at the Agence nationale de la sécurité des systèmes d'information (ANSSI) from January 2016 to November 2021, where responsibilities encompassed governance, human resources, financial management, and quality control. Previous experiences include serving as conseiller maître at the Cour des comptes focusing on energy sector audits and financial oversight from April 2019 to May 2020. Michel’s career also includes roles as rapporteur général at AFP and different capacities within the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defense. Michel holds advanced degrees from Université de Paris IX Dauphine, Ecole du commissariat de l'air, and Université de Nancy II, specializing in public and private financial auditing, defense studies, and business law.
