Irawati (Angki) Kandela has extensive work experience in the field of pharmaceuticals and biomedical research. Irawati (Angki)'smost recent role is as the Director of Translation Sciences and Project Management at Cour Pharmaceuticals Development Company, Inc. Irawati (Angki) joined the company in 2021 and is currently serving in this position.

Prior to that, Angki served as the Director of Operations at NeuroLux from 2020 to 2021. Irawati (Angki) Kandela has a strong education background in pharmaceutical sciences. Irawati (Angki) earned a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006, after completing their MS in the same field at the same institution in 2002. Prior to their studies in the United States, they obtained their Pharmacy degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung in 1998, and their Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the same institution in 1997.

Additionally, Irawati (Angki) Kandela has obtained a certification in Tufts CSDD Postgraduate Course in Clinical Pharmacology, Drug Development, and Regulation from the Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development in April 2022.
