Blyth Lord has a long history of work experience. Blyth began their career in 1989 as an Associate Producer for ABC News. In 1996, they moved to VIS Corporation as the Director of Client Services. In 2003, they joined WGBH as a Coordinating Producer. Four years later, in 2007, they became the Project Director of Children's Programming for the WGBH Educational Foundation. In 2012, they were appointed Board Chair of the National Tay-Sachs and Allied Disease (NTSAD). In 2013, Blyth founded and became the Executive Director and Executive Producer of Courageous Parents Network, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. In the same year, they also joined The Children's Room as a Board Member. Blyth is also an Officer of the Cameron and Hayden Lord Foundation, a family foundation funding medical research to treat pediatric lysosomal storage diseases and pediatric palliative care programs and research.
Blyth Lord attended Milton Academy, where they received their High School Diploma. Blyth then went on to Yale University, graduating with a BA in Theirtory in 1989. In 1993, they earned an EdM from Harvard Graduate School of Education, with a focus on Technology in Education.
