Mateo Samper

Mateo Samper is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public sector partnerships and education technology. Currently serving as Head of Public Sector Partnerships for Ibero-America at Coursera since September 2019, Mateo leads strategies that support governments and public companies in their digital transformations. Previous roles include Senior Fellow at the Inter-American Dialogue, where Mateo facilitated a Working Group to promote EdTech policies, and Consultant for the Omidyar Network and Inter-American Development Bank, focusing on vision setting and research in education technology. Mateo's career features significant achievements at Teach For All, where growth initiatives expanded the customer base across Latin America and the Caribbean, and in leadership roles at the Americas Society/Council of the Americas that enhanced business programming and corporate membership. Mateo's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Economic Development from New York University and a law degree from Universidad de Los Andes.
