CovEducation (or “CovEd”) is a community of undergraduates, postgraduates, students and educators from colleges and universities across the U.S. who are interested in supporting K-12 students in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

We have created a free virtual platform that pairs mentors from higher education institutions with K-12 students affected by school closures. We are also working to compile free, web-based and offline educational resources for students, families, and educators, as well as partner with schools and other non-profits to improve the learning experience of K-12 students.

The Coordination Team at CovEducation is responsible for efficiently organizing and managing the various aspects of the virtual mentoring platform. This team ensures smooth operations by overseeing service learning projects, conducting outreach to engage more volunteers and students, gathering feedback through surveys, managing public relations to increase visibility, and fostering partnerships with schools and non-profit organizations to enhance the educational resources and experiences for K-12 students.

Coordination Team

The Technology Team at CovEducation is responsible for developing and maintaining the virtual platform that connects mentors from higher education institutions with K-12 students. This includes ensuring the platform's functionality, security, and user experience. The team also works on integrating additional educational resources and tools to support the learning experience, collaborates with partners to implement technical solutions, and provides ongoing technical support for all users.

Technology Team

The Leadership Team at CovEducation drives the strategic vision and operational direction of the organization. The CEO oversees overall organizational performance and long-term strategy, the CMO - Partnerships manages relationships with external partners and stakeholders to enhance CovEd's reach and impact, and the Chief Operations Officer ensures that daily operations align with our mission of supporting K-12 students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Together, they coordinate efforts to expand the mentor-mentee network, compile valuable educational resources, and forge partnerships with schools and non-profits.
