Sonia Jones is the Executive Director of Covenant Ballet Theatre of Brooklyn and the Founder/Director of Sojo Performing Arts. Sonia has a background in dance education and pedagogy, with experience teaching at various prestigious institutions such as New York University, American Ballet Theatre, and Harlem School of the Arts. Sonia holds a Master's of Arts Degree in Teaching Dance in Higher Education and the Professions with a concentration in ABT Pedagogy.

Covenant Ballet Theatre of Brooklyn (CBT) fosters the love of the art of dance through pre-professional training, educational programs, and original dance productions in a uniquely accepting yet rigorous environment. It was founded on the dual conviction that a serious ballet education is needed to advance the art form, train youth, and improve the lives of those within its embrace; and that where there is a commitment to the art of dance, there ought to be an equally vigorous commitment to maximum inclusion. CBT serves the southern end of Brooklyn, New York, where cultural activities are limited.
