Joann Santiago

JoAnn Santiago has extensive work experience in healthcare strategy and innovation. JoAnn worked at Covenant Health from 1996 onwards, where they served as the System Director of Strategy and Innovation. In this role, JoAnn Santiago provided leadership with service line analyses, utilizing internal utilization data, business forecasts, competitive analysis, and industry trends. JoAnn also advised post-acute campuses on repositioning their services to better meet the needs of their communities. Prior to Covenant Health, JoAnn Santiago worked as a Consultant at Lanzikos, McDonough & Associates from 1994 to 1996.

JoAnn Santiago attended Simmons University from 1984 to 1998, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and Communications. JoAnn then pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at Questrom School of Business, Boston University from 1991 to 1995. In addition to their formal education, JoAnn has obtained certifications in Advanced Analytics for Healthcare Strategists and Healthcare Marketing from the Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development (SHSMD). JoAnn also holds a certification in Lean for Leaders from the Virginia Mason Institute, and is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
