Rachel Brosnahan currently plays “Midge” Maisel in the Amazon Prime Video series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.” Since the show’s premiere in November 2017, Rachel has received two Golden Globes for best performance by an actress in a television series – musical or comedy (2019, 2018), one Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series (2018), and one Critics' Choice Award for best actress in a comedy series (2018). Rachel starred in “Patriots’ Day” opposite Mark Walhberg, a film directed by Peter Berg, and is known for her work as Rachel Posner on Netflix’s “House of Cards,” which earned her a 2015 Emmy nomination. Other film and television credits include “Burn Country,” “Boomtown,” “The Finest Hours,” “Louder Than Bombs,” “Beautiful Creatures,” “The Blacklist,” and WGN America’s “Manhattan.” On the stage, Rachel starred as Desdemona in Sam Gold’s production of “Othello” at New York Theatre Workshop, opposite Daniel Craig and David Oyelowo. Other theater credits include “The Big Knife” at Roundabout Theatre Company and “Up” at Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Rachel is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute.
