Matt McLelland has a diverse work experience in various industries. Matt started their career as a Technical Support Representative at IBM, providing telephone-based technical support for IBM Business Partners. Matt then worked at Ernst & Young as a Senior Consultant in the Information Technology Practice Group, where they assisted in implementing business solutions and managed small teams of consultants. McLelland later joined PeopleSoft as a Senior Consultant, where they helped customers with software implementation and integration. Matt then worked at StoneFort Technologies and its subsequent acquisition Freeliant.com as a Project Manager and Technical Sales Support. In 2001, they became the Director of Technology at The Maclellan Foundation, where they developed IT strategies and implemented solutions for non-profit organizations. From 2004 to 2017, McLelland worked at Kenco Group in various roles, including Innovation Research Manager and Director of Enterprise Systems in Information Technology. Matt took a brief hiatus in 2018 to work on business development at Site Seven Campervans before joining Covenant in 2020 as the VP of Sustainability and Innovation. In their current role, McLelland is responsible for leading all sustainability, CSR, and ESG initiatives at Covenant while also retaining their prior responsibilities as the Innovation Strategist.
Matt McLelland earned their Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems from The University of Georgia between the years 1988 and 1994.
