Kevin Cook

Vice President, Breeding at CoverCress

Kevin Cook has over 20 years of work experience in the field of breeding and product characterization. Kevin began their career in 1998 at Monsanto, where they held four roles, including Global Corn Trait Integration Lead, Regional Corn Breeding and Abiotic Stress Breeding Lead, Discovery Breeding Lead, and Corn Breeder. In 2015, they moved to Kaiima Bio-Agritech Ltd., where they served as Chief Technology Officer. In 2017, they joined Benson Hill as Senior Director, Breeding & Product Characterization. Most recently, in 2022, they became the Director of Breeding at CoverCress Inc.

Kevin Cook earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Plant Breeding & Genetics from Iowa State University and a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Agronomy and Molecular Biology from Brigham Young University.
