Melissa Roth has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Melissa currently serves as the Deputy Director of Accounting and Accounting Systems Operations at Covered California since September 2023. Prior to this, they worked at CalSTRS, starting as an Accounts Payable Manager and later becoming a Financial Accountant IV. At Russell Mechanical, Inc., Melissa held the position of Controller and also worked as a Contract Administrator/Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Melissa began their career as a Bookkeeper at National Sports Bar & Grill, Orange.
Melissa Roth completed their Bachelor's degree in Business-Accounting from California State University-Sacramento from 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, they attended American River College from 2000 to 2002, where they transferred without completing a degree in Accounting.
In addition to their formal education, Melissa Roth obtained certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the California Board of Accountancy in December 2018.
