Sarah Abucay is an experienced professional with a diverse background in external affairs, legislative analysis, and quality assurance at Covered California since October 2013. Responsibilities include tracking agency regulations, conducting research on the Affordable Care Act, and monitoring customer transactions. Prior experience includes roles as an Alcohol & Drug Prevention Specialist at Asian Pacific Community Counseling, a Domestic Violence Advocate at My Sister's House, and an Anti-Human Trafficking Program Intern at Opening Doors, Inc. Sarah also contributed as a Summer Youth Program Manager through the NAVASA Dan Than AmeriCorps Program and supported executive education initiatives at UC Berkeley. Sarah holds a B.A. in International Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley, and has studied at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
