Miguel Santo Amaro has worked in various roles across a variety of industries since 2009. In 2009, they began their career as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Banco BPI. In 2010, they worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Picviz Labs, Grameen Bank, and Zhejiang University International Innovation Institute. In 2011, they worked as an Entrepreneur In Residence at OSRAM SYLVANIA (a Siemens company). In 2012, they co-founded UniPlaces, where they worked until 2019. In 2019, they co-founded StudentFinance and served as an advisor for kencko. In 2020, they co-founded Coverflex, where they currently serve as Co-Founder & CEO and Co-Founder & Product.

Miguel Santo Amaro has completed a range of educational programs from various institutions. Miguel attended Harvard Business School for their Executive Education | Entrepreneurial Strategy Program. Miguel also obtained a Master's Degree from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business in their Global Entrepreneurship Program. Additionally, they completed a Master's degree from Zhejiang University and emlyon business school in the Joint Masters Global Entrepreneurship program. Miguel also earned a BA (Hons) from Nottingham University Business School in Finance, Accounting and Management. Lastly, they attended Esade for their Summer School program in “Marketing: From Strategy to Action”. In addition to their educational programs, they were also awarded the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe by Forbes in 2017.
