Praveen Jayasuriya

Praveen Jayasuriya is an engineer and entreprenuer ~ passionate about data science for social good, with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. His experience cuts across electronics engineering, software engineering, manufacturing, research & development and executive management in both startups and legacy business organisations.

Praveen was the Entrepreneur in Residence and Innovation Manager specialising in wearable technology for Twinery (twinery.co) - the innovation arm of the soft goods manufacturing giant, MAS Holdings. He led the development of a brand new fabric composite capable of managing stress urinary incontinence for women. Praveen holds the patent for this invention which led to a new spinoff business opportunity for MAS under the global brand Speax by THINX.

He co-founded the Sydney-Colombo based data analytics and AI startup Trabeya (trabeya.com) which was succesfully sold to private equity in 2017.
