David Burke, RPLU, CPLP has extensive experience in the insurance industry. David currently holds the position of Senior Business Development Director - Eastern Zone at Coverys since April 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Business Development Director - Eastern Zone at Coverys from March 2017 to April 2020. Before joining Coverys, David spent ten years at Smith Brothers Insurance where they served as the Healthcare Professional Liability Director from September 2007 to March 2017. David started their career at Connecticut Medical Insurance Company in 1991 and held various roles including Lead Business Development Underwriter and Medical Professional Liability Underwriter. David also served as the Assistant Vice President - Director Business Development from October 2003 to October 2007 and as a Program Development Specialist from March 1999 to October 2003.

David Burke, RPLU, CPLP holds a BA degree in Sociology from Washington State University. Additionally, they obtained the certification of Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) from the Professional Liability Underwriting Society in January 2021. Furthermore, in October 2022, they acquired the certification of Cyber Professional Liability Practitioner (CPLP) from the same institution.
