Thomas Faecke has extensive experience in the fields of science and technology, particularly in lab automation and digital transformation. Currently serving as Director of Science and Technology and Director of Digital Transformation R&D at Covestro since August 2017, Thomas previously held significant roles at Bayer from March 2007 to July 2017, including Director of Marketing and Business Development and Head of the Holography Unit, where focus was on developing volume holographic optics and holographic photopolymer media. Earlier experiences include managing R&D in Powder Coatings Resins at Bayer MaterialScience LLC from 2002 to 2006. Thomas holds a Diplomchemiker degree in Chemistry from The Philipp University of Marburg, obtained between 1988 and 1995.
