Baldemar Salinas

Baldemar Salinas has extensive work experience in operations and manufacturing management. Baldemar is currently working as the Vice President of Operations at Covia, a leading provider of minerals and material solutions. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Director of Operations at Littelfuse and Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at Elevate Textiles.

In their earlier career, Salinas worked at Visteon Corporation as the Senior Director of Operations, where they successfully turned around a chaotic startup with BMW high-tech infotainment business. Baldemar also worked at Sensata Technologies as the Director of Operations and General Manager, leading efforts to stabilize a complex manufacturing campus with chronic productivity issues.

Salinas also has experience at KEMET Electronics Corporation, where they served as the Director of Operations for two sites and played a key role in right-sizing the business and implementing lean manufacturing practices. Baldemar also served as the Operational Excellence Manager and Manufacturing Manager at KEMET, where they contributed to process optimization and waste reduction.

Prior to their roles at KEMET, Salinas worked at Viakable as an Engineering Manager, where they led site closures and new site startups, improving productivity and labor costs. Baldemar began their career at Viakable as a process engineer before being promoted to supervisor.

Baldemar Salinas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. Baldemar completed a certification in Business Administration and Management from the IPADE Business School in 2017. Baldemar also holds a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. Additionally, they obtained a Master Black Belt certification from the Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2011.
