Hinna Saleemi

Hinna Saleemi currently serves as the Director of AML Compliance at Covington & Burling LLP since March 2024. Previously, Hinna was the Head of Business Acceptance — Risk & Compliance at Bird & Bird from November 2018 to February 2023, overseeing a global team and managing regulatory changes impacting financial crime. Hinna also held the position of Senior Risk and Compliance Manager at Clyde & Co from July 2013 to October 2018, where responsibilities included leading a global Business Acceptance Unit and acting as the final escalation point for conflicts and AML queries. Additional experience includes serving as Compliance Officer MENA and Risk Management Officer at various firms including Taylor Wessing and Clifford Chance LLP. Hinna holds a Legal Practice Course from The University of Law and a Bachelor of Laws from Kingston University.
