Sam Keene started their work experience as a Musician with NaPeg Talent Associates in 1977, where they performed on guitar, woodwinds, and vocals. Sam then worked as a Sales Representative, City Sales Manager, and District Sales Manager for Piedmont Airlines and later as a District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Manager for US Airways, responsible for Corporate and Travel Agency Sales. In 2006, Sam joined Covington Travel as the Senior Vice President of Business Development, focusing on new corporate business and growth of existing business. In 2008, they became involved with the Virginia Business Travel Association (VBTA), serving in various roles including Secretary/Treasurer, President, and Past President/Chairman. Sam's most recent work experience was with VBTA, where they served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Chapter Presidents Council and Vice President.
Sam Keene attended Lipscomb University from 1969 to 1970, where their field of study was Music and Education. Sam then went on to attend East Tennessee State University from 1972 to 1977, where they obtained a BS and BA degree in Music and Education.
