Tom Burton

Tom Burton is an experienced IT professional with a career spanning over two decades. Since December 1999, Tom has served as the Manager of Information Technology at Covington Travel, leading the IT department and facilitating process improvements and software upgrades across the organization. Prior to this role, Tom held the position of Assistant Manager of Information Technology at Covington Travel, overseeing significant IT projects including company-wide desktop deployments. Tom began the career as a Network Engineer at IPC Technologies, providing Y2K upgrades and second-level support, and also worked as a Technology Analyst at Covington Travel where major network modernizations were implemented. Earlier experience includes roles as a Technical Support Analyst at Signet Bank and a Computer Operator at This End Up Furniture Co., Inc. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Virginia Commonwealth University - College of Engineering.
