Sofiane Ouaguenouni

Sofiane Ouaguenouni has over twenty years of experience in the science and technology fields. From 1998 to 2000, they were a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the California Institute of Technology. From 2000 to 2001, they were an Application Engineer and Project Manager at Web Modulus Consulting Group, where they directed a team to implement a web-based ranking system of consumer products using fuzzy logic concepts. From 2001 to 2006, they were a Senior Software Engineer and Research Scientist at SeeBeyond Technology Corporation, where they were responsible for the research, design, and engineering of state-of-the-art data quality components. From 2006 to 2010, they were a Lead Software Architect and Data Modeler at Sun Microsystems, where they redesigned and refined the match engine components and helped win major deals. From 2010 to 2018, they were a Principal Applications Engineer at Oracle Corporation, where they were the main contributor to building the Oracle Healthcare Master Person Index (OHMPI) and helped implement a master index solution in Portuguese for the entire population of Brazil. Since 2018, they have been a Lead Scientist at both Covisus Inc. and ChromoLogic LLC.

Sofiane Ouaguenouni received a Master degree in Condensed Matter Physics from the Universities of Paris (Marie-Curie, Ecole Normale, Ecole de Physique et Chimie) in 1992. Sofiane then went on to earn a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Paris Pierre & Marie-Curie - Lab. Central des Ponts et Chausses in 1997.
